Guided steps

1/ From Le Saugy (parking lot), head for Col de Barman via La Perrière then Pré Paget. Follow the path up to Col de Barman and Chalet Chappuis. 2/ Continue towards Tête du Parmelan, up the path to Balmont Sud then Balmont Nord. From here, follow the signs for Croisement du Grand Montoir, then Glacière d'Aviernoz. 3/ At Petit Montoir, follow a wide path up to Le Grand Montoir, then Refuge du Parmelan. 4/ Return to Tête du Parmelan and back. 5/ Continue towards Col du Pertuis via Plateau du Parmelan, then Sur le Pertuis (careful passage), and Alpage du Pertuis. 6/ At Col du Pertuis, descend to Le Saugy via Les Fournets.
