Woodland and then alpine meadow route, you'll pass the Charvin Combe, to get to the summit of Mount Charvin 2409m, with a fantastic view.
Start from the Sardoches car park. At the far end of the car park, take the path which climbs into the forest. At the end of the woods, take a left, up to the Praze water trough, then continue through the pastures up to the Chalet de l'Aulp of Marlens. Climb up the valley that leads in the direction of the Porthets Pass, then veer to the right and start climbing the combe leading to the Charvin. The path continues to climb in zigzags up to the north shoulder , then follows the knife edge ridge to the summit. The return route is the same as the one taken to climb.
